Problems of Natural and Technogenic Placers and Deposits of Weathering Crusts at the Turn of the Millennium

The XII International COnference on the Geology of Placers and Weathering Crust Deposits was held in Moscow on September 25-29, 2000. The conference was conducted under the aegis of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation. It was organized by the Interdepartmental Council on Ore Formation; the RAS, Institute of Geology of Ore Deposits, Petrography, Mineralogy, and Geochemistry; the RAS, Central Research Institute of Geological Exploration for Base and Precious Metals; and the All-Russian Institute of Mineral Resources.
