Separation Scientist Honoured: First Norwegian Prize in Analytical Chemistry

Professor Tyge Greibrokk has for a long time been a major contributor to the field of separation science and analytical chemistry in Norway and internationally. For his work Greibrokk has received the Norwegian Prize in Analytical Chemistry founded by the Analytical Division of the Norwegian Chemical Society. Professor Tyge Greibrokk belongs to the selective group of separation scientists who has been working actively with most of the techniques present in the evolving battery of separation techniques. He has been active in the field of separation science for about three decades, and is the author or co-author of close to 250 articles. He is presently editor of Journal of Separation Science and member of the editorial boards of several other chromatographic journals. More than 120 students have been supervised by Professor Greibrokk, in addition to a considerable number of exchange students and visiting researchers from outside Norway. Professor Greibrokk is still very active on the international lecture tour and has given a vast number of lectures over the years, most of them as invited speaker.
