Sales of air separation units (ASUs) based on the number of units completed (FOB for the overseas market) for FY2011 came to 25 units, an increase of 5 units over the previous year. It has been long since there was a decrease in new contracts for units installed for generating high purity nitrogen for the electronics sector. In future, however, it appears that there will be more relocation of existing units and shutdowns. Besides the electronics sector, replacements of existing units make up most of the demand nationwide.
