Japex starts Soma LNG terminal construction in Japan

Japan Petroleum Exploration Company (Japex) has begun construction of its Soma regasification terminal in Fukushima, Japan, and is preparing to construct a 40 km pipeline connecting the terminal to its main onshore gas pipeline. “The completion of the new terminal and pipeline will represent the establishment of a robust energy network that is superior in terms of the ability to ensure a stable natural gas supply as well as security in emergencies,” Japex said in a statement.
