Genomatica (San Diego), which focuses on insilico systems biology, was awarded a two-year, $765,000 Phase II Small Business Innovation Research grant fromthe NIH to integrate high-throughput experimental data with computer models of cellular metabolism, through the firm'sSimPheny~(TM) modeling software. This research has potential commercial applications in a number of areas of biological discovery, includin bioprocess development and pharmaceutical drug discovery and development.
