Australian mould cooling technology company RiTemp says one of its US customers has realised a 28% cycle time reduction in production of Noryl-modified PPO electrical housings by switching away from traditional drilled channel mould cooling.The reduction was achieved on a new four-cavity tool producing 15g housings with a 1.5mm wall thickness.The part is now running on a cycle time of 13 seconds,compared with 18 seconds for similar parts moulded on traditional tooling.
