The ongoing mission of educating members is the lifeblood of a bee club. With members each year who are eager beginners, the bee club has an opportunity to help them learn how to be the best-informed beekeepers possible.In Atlanta, our Metro Atlanta Beekeepers Club offers our short course in January. The timing of our course allows new prospective beekeepers to get exposure to beekeeping early enough still to be able to order bees, but the timing does not allow hands-on experience in the hives. In addition, new beekeepers often wish for mentors and we wanted to provide that in an efficient way.
