New stacker program ties health with quality assurance. Throw out the old, bring in the new. That's what's happening in Missouri these days. The old was the "Gold Tag" calf health program based on the concept you'd get a premium price for preconditioned calves that had been vaccinated and bunk broke. The new program, called Missouri Stacker/Feeder Quality Assurance (MSFQAP), de-emphasizes price premiums and looks at more than just standard health processing practices.
