摘要

A new type of vertical soil zonality has been revealed within the soil catena crossing the Tokinskaya Depression and the Tokinskii Stanovik Ridge in the extreme southeast of Yakutia. This type of zonality (the Okhotskii type) is closer to the vertical zonality in the Far East region with a monsoon climate than to the vertical zonality in the other permafrost-affected regions of Yakutia. The properties and composition of soils in the zones of alpine tundra and subalpine elfin forest and meadows are characterized. The ratio between the areas of podburs and Al-Fe-humus podzols in the soil cover of the studied region is appreciated with respect to the effect of pyrogenesis on soil formation.
