摘要

Seventy-six wormwood species of the subgenera Dracunculus, Artemisia, and Seriphidium are host plants of Palaearctic gall midges; 52 of these wormwood species are reported from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Close associations between species and genera of gall midges and species, series, sections, and subgenera of wormwoods are revealed. Seventeen types of plant damages are distinguished. Complexes of gall midge species attacking certain wormwood species are related. The dependence of the structure of pupal head on the structure of a gall in which pupa develops is demonstrated; these are adaptive relations. The succession of the gall structure in species belonging to different taxa is shown, together with the limits of wormwood gall's variability.
