摘要

The efficiency of native entomophagous species with narrow geographical ranges in plant protection is demonstrated for the example of ground beetles. Combination of widespread and local species enables sufficient control of dangerous pests, such as the Colorado potato beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say. Analysis of the ground beetle faunas, typical of agrocenoses in 6 regions examined, shows that zoophagous complexes are more variable in comparison with mixophagous ones.
