Specific features of postembryonic growth in the millipede, Rossiulus kessleri (Julidae)

Dynamics of the main morphometric parameters in the course of development of Rossiulus kessleri (Lohm.) are considered for the populations from floodplain forest and forest belt. In the anamorphosis of R. kessleri, sexual dimorphism and interpopulation differences are absent; the number of segments begins to grow slower from stadium IX. Decrease in growth rate of the majority of parameters occurs at the onset of sexual maturity. Specific sexual and population features of growth are registered for mature specimens and intercalary males.
