Field experiments were conducted for two years to know the effect of organic manures integrated with inorganic fertilizers on soil properties after the harvest of crops in maize based cropping systems with fourteen treatment combinations during kharif and rabi seasons in 2007-08 and 2008-09 in red clay loam soil. The experiments were laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The status of soil properties after harvest of second year groundnut crop shown that, application of 100% recommended N, P 2O 5 and K 2O+poultry manure (recommended FYM equivalent on N basis) has recorded higher soil pH (7.20), organic carbon content (0.76%) and available nutrients (299.1, 23.3 and 250.9 kg N, P 2O 5 and K 2O ha -1, respectively) followed by 100% recommended N, P 2O 5 and K 2O+ pressmud (recommended FYM equivalent on N basis) and 100% recommended N, P 2O 5 and K 2O+ recommended FYM.
