Since its establishment on Aug. 22, 1987, the EPA has achieved admirable results through the dedication of the former heads of the agency and staff in uniting the strengths and resources of the private and government sectors to actively promote environmental protection work, boost pollution prevention and regulation efforts, protect the natural ecology and raise the quality of life of citizens and that of the environment.
