The life cycle of electronic components in the industrial environments is 15 to 20 years. Attention should be paid to the first week, where components may suffer a 100% loss. After that, the failure rate drops down to zero and will increase again after 15 to 20 years. The result is the bathtub curve.The significant variance in the life cycle of 25% is reasoned by the overall environmental impact of the devices. That impact is defined by the electric, mechanic and thermic interferencelike erratic voltage, over current, thrust, vibration, overheating and so on.
