Histochemical analysis between Host and Parasite in fresh water teleost, Clarias batrachus infected with cestode, Lytocestus indicus

The caryophyllaeid cestode, Lytocestus indicus infects the fresh water toleost, clarias batrachus. Histochemi-cal variations have been observed in the stomach of Clarias batrachus due to the infection with Cytocestus indius. In the infected fish the carbohydrates, glycogen, Proteins and Lipids contents are increased significantly.
