Impact of municipal solid waste dumping on ground Water quality -A case study in Bangalore district

This study is focussed on the study of the impact of solid waste dumping on the ground water quality in selected locations in Bangalore city.Twelve water samples were collected in nearby wells and analyzed for various physico-chemical parameters.The results showed maximum contamination in the water samples analyzed upto 500m radius from the dumping site.The water samples taken away from the dumping site were found to be safe.
