Deepwater E&P is the focal point for many operators in the global oil and gas industry today, and increased development of deepwater prospects is presenting fresh technology challenges. Ensuring safe operations becomes more challenging as deepwater (to 7,500 ft) and ultra deepwater (in excess of 7,500 ft) environments present harsher operating conditions in terms of pressure, temperature, equipment reliability, and potential debris ingress.
