摘要

The reduction of thirty percent of the amount of fresh water allocated to agriculture is an important objective for the stability of the agricultural sector. Many research projects have demonstrated that the sensitivity of water stress during the growing season is not constant and in many instances depends on the physiological state of the plant or crop. Often times the reduction in harvest (as a result of water stress) is caused due to damage to a defined essential physiological state (for example:germination, budding, flowering, fruit ripening, etc.) that occurs for a relatively limited time (days, weeks) and so it may be possible to adapt the amount of water to the different essential physiological states of the plant.
