Cultivation of gerbera irrigated with treated domestic effluents

The scarcity of fresh water in the world is increasing, both in terms of volume and in terms of quality. With irrigated agriculture making up for around seventy % of all the world's water resources, the possibility of conflict and intervention between the industrial and domestic supply is a constant source of discussion. In spite of water scarcity, population growth, mainly in large cities, has contributed towards an increase of volume of wastewater and consequently that of domestic effluents.
