Devon to Focus on North American Assets

After making good progress with the divestment of offshore and overseas assets, US independent Devon Energy is ramping up its investment in North American onshore plays, with particular emphasis on oil and natural gas liquids. Devon announced plans to divest its offshore and international assets last Novem- ber. It now expects the program to raise $8 billion after tax, compared with original estimates of $4.5 billion to $7 billion.
