Trading Group Vitol Picks up Set of Assets from Petroplus

Oil trading group Vitol bought a cutprice set of refining and storage facilities in Antwerp from Petroplus late last week, marking another step in the trader's global drive for oil terminals and storage assets. The $25 million deal involves a 110,000 b/d refinery, one of the largest bitumen processing plants in the Benelux region with a capacity of approximately 875,000 tons per annum, a gasoil hydrotreating plant with capacity of 22,300 barrels per day and a tank storage facility with a potential capacity of approximately 450,000 cubic meters.
