Opec is putting its long-standing relationship with non-Opec allies on ice after they failed to help the producer group cut output to shore up oil prices after the economic crisis gathered pace last year. Opec Secretary-General Abdullah al- Badri said Thursday in Vienna that none of the six producers to which the group had looked for help cut output in solidarity. Opec producers have done all the heavy lifting, slashing output by 2.9 million barrels per day from levels last September to counter the dramatic fall in oil demand.
