Chile Prepares for 2010 Launch of Second LNG Import Terminal

Chile's second LNG regasification terminal will enter into commercial operation in April or May of next year, and the first shipment of LNG is set to arrive in January. Frederik Janssens, Chief Executive of GNL Mejillones, the company building the plant, says the first shipment will likely come from Trinidad and Tobago. That delivery will be used for a cool-down and commissioning of the new plant.
