Anadarko Petroleum has made a third natural gas discovery at the Lagosta prospect in the offshore zone of Mozambique's Rovu- ma Basin, encountering more than 550 net feet of natural gas pay in multiple high-qual- ity sands. The US independent said that when Lagosta is combined with the previous Windjammer and Barquentine discoveries, the resource exceeds the threshold for an LNG development, estimated to be 4 trillion cubic feet. It is understood Anadarko is indi- cating discoveries of at least 6-7 Tcf so far (IOD Oct.20,p8).
