Stronger Dollar and Higher Oil Demand Push Crude Sideways

Crude oil futures finished slightly higher Friday after spending time in positive and negative territory as a stronger dollar and an encouraging monthly demand outlook pulled energy prices in opposite directions. The dollar recovered only some of its losses from earlier in the week. The currency's weakness once again served as a positive influence on energy prices, while bearish supply- demand balances weighed on the market.
