摘要

The synthesis and characterization of novel palladium(II) complexes with ferrocenes bearing podand N-heterocyclic coordination sites are described. N,N'-Bis(2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl)-1,1'-ferrocenedicarboxamide (2-BPEFA) and N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,1'-ferrocenedicarboxamide (2-BPMFA) served as a bidentate ligand to form the 1:1 complexes with an equimolar amount of PdCl2(MeCN)(2). The single-crystal X-ray structure determination indicates that the two pyridyl nitrogen atoms coordinate Irans to palladium. Both the pyridyl rings of PdCl2(2-BPEFG) are almost parallel to the cyclopentadienyl ring planes, in contrast to their perpendicular orientation in PdCl2(2-BPMFA). The two cyclopentadienyl rings are eclipsed in PdCl2(2-BPEFA) and staggered in PdCl2(2-BPMFA). [References: 10]
