摘要

Royal Dutch Shell Thursday unveiled a $7 billion-$8 billion asset disposal program, becoming the latest global oil giant after BP and ConocoPhillips to announce big asset sales as it tries to offload noncore holdings. The Anglo-Dutch supermajor normally sells $2 billion worth of assets every year, but Chief Executive Peter Voser intends to double that amount both this year and next. The sales are about “trimming the edges of the portfolio rather than deep changes of focus in the upstream,” Voser said.
