President Barack Obama said Wednesday that the US should move quickly to position itself as the global leader in the race to develop and deploy alternative forms of energy - or risk falling far behind other nations. In an Earth Day speech in Iowa, the president focused on how the US can simultaneously win the technological race for clean energy while tackling several deep-rooted economic problems caused by dependence on imported oil.
