摘要

A study of the oxidative electropolymerization of 3-trimethylsilylthiophene shows that significant cleavage of the 3-substituent occurs during the process, but no degradation of 3-methylthiophene, 3-bromothiophene, and 3-bromomethylthiophene occurs. Electropolymerization experiments indicate a significant effect of monomer concentration upon the potential for the onset of monomer oxidation for 3-trimethylsilylthiophene.
