Shaping the future: role models and situated learning.

I recently visited a community-based clinic on the ground floor of an enormous tower block. The clinic, which is nurse led, offers a wide range of services to the residents of the tower block and six other buildings of similar size in the immediate vicinity. I always relish the opportunity to get out and about and see the conditions that nurses work in, the level of autonomy they experience and the role they play in delivering services - so this was a real treat.
