In an era of outsourcing and job-hopping, some people may question at the idea of loyalty between employees and employers. However, all employees owe a duty of loyalty to the organizations they work for, even if they are not chief financial officers or members of boards of directors. For people who have even heard of it, "fiduciary duty" is usually a term reserved for employees who handle money or make major decisions. But from a legal perspective it is the concept that employees owe a duty and obligation to their companies.
