摘要

The topographical characteristic features of a land surface landforms, elevation, rocks, soils, and vegetation. The study was undertaken to prepare an inventory of terrain characteristics. The study area is North latitudes 17d27'00": 18d18'00"and East longitudes 77d 28'00" and is included in Survey of India toposheets 56G6, 56G10, 56G13, 56G14, 56G15, 56K02, 56K03, 56K06, and 56K07). The IRS-ID, LISS-III geo coded Remote sensing Satellite data and the above toposheets from Survey of India (SOI) are acquired for primary analysis. Using Visual Interpretation technique different thematic maps are prepared like base map, drainage map, village Reference map, Physiography map, watershed map, Land use/Land cover map. To prepare these maps field work has been conducted to collect the information from various departments like Agricultural, Irrigation, Ground water board, Bauer of statistics and study of land use patterns, cropping patterns, soil type information based on the all the above information final thematic maps has been generated. These thematic maps were scanned and digitized using Autocad and converted into GIS. Based on the above data Topology is created by linking the spatial data file and attribute data file. GIS overlay analysis derived map of Agricultural use and Capability map has been developed. This kind of studies is very useful for preparation of Land resources, water resources, Environmental Management Action plan and also useful for the planners decision makers for management and monitoring of natural resources".
