Repair Methodology for Fire Damaged R.C.C. Beams

摘要

The aim of present paper is to select the suitable methodology to repair the heated reinforced cement concrete beam s with different repair materials. The variation of flexural strength of beams due to heating from 100℃. 200℃, 300℃, 400℃, 500℃, 600℃, 700℃, 800℃, 900℃ & 1000℃ for three hours duration has been studied. The rate of heating was maintained as per Iso - 834 temperature time curve for the standard fire. After heating, the fire dam aged beams were repaired by adopting application of paint up to 500℃, sand blasting and wire brush methods between 600℃ - 1000℃ as repair techniques. Their performance under room temperature, elevated temperature has been evaluated. Ordinary Portland cement concrete (OPC), high alumina cement concrete (HAC) with M_(20) grade of concrete and high strength concrete (HSC) with M_(60) grade of concrete were used as repair material. The results were analyzed and beams repaired with wire brush techniques exhibited better performance than sand blast technique.
