In this paper, a multi-stages fuzzy-based guidance law is proposed which consists of three fuzzy controllers. Each of these controllers is activated in a region of the interception. The distribution of the membership functions and the rules of all the fuzzy controllers are optimally tuned by the method of genetic algorithms. The simulation results show that the proposed design technique was able to generate a fuzzy-based missile guidance law with a satisfactory performance in terms of the interception time, the missile acceleration commands and the miss distance.
