摘要

This paper presents the design and analysis of an infinite bandwidth open loop current sensor developed with horizontal stacked magnetic concentrator and Hall element. Magnetic flux density of magnetic concentrator for normal solid core and stacked core (i.e. both vertical and horizontal stacked cores) is analyzed. The results are compared with theoretical design values and found more promising. The objective of this research work is to design a cost and material effective current sensor for various applications. In this work, it is noticed that, between vertical and horizontal stacked cores, horizontal stacked cores are cost effective and wastage of material is also very less. Features like sensitivity, accuracy and frequency response also observed and it is found that the sensor works for frequencies from DC-1MHz.
