Sheep scabies or mange is a contagious disease of intensive sheep husbandry which causes heavy economic losses. Nowadays two widely accepted drugs viz Ivermectin and Butox2 are available and their efficacy has been investigated by Sharma et at., (1991) and Kamboj et al., (1993) in dogs and by Makkar et al. (1991) in camels. Their comparative studies in sheep are lacking and as such present study was condueted with one new preparation Povidine Iodine.
