COGGIDIOSIS IN INFECTIOUS BURSAL DISEASE (1BD) AFFECTED POULTRY FARMS*

Infectious bursal disease (IBD) is almost a perpetual worldwide problem during present day and it is prevalent in most of the concentrated poultry producing areas of our country. Immunosuppression following clinical and particularly subclinical IBD increases susceptibility to other diseases including coccidia infection (Jordan, 1936; Auti, 1987; Kreager, 1993; Mujeeb Ather, 1993; Grewal, 19)3). Occurrence of coccidia infection in clinical form (Goccidiosis) and subclinical form (Goccidiasis) in IBD affected poultry farms in 5 districts of West Bengal was studied during a period of 1 year and results have been discussed in this communication.
