CoSe 03234 - an early maturing variety of sugarcane for Uttar Pradesh.

摘要

CoSe 03234 (parentage BO 91 PCGC), an early maturing sugarcane cultivar developed at Genda Singh Sugarcane Breeding and Research Institute, Seorahi, Kushanigar, Uttar Pradesh, India, is moderately resistant to red rot [Glomerella tucumanensis], smut [Ustilago scitaminea] and borer. Being superior in growth, ratooning ability and quality attributes, it recorded 36.19 and 41.00% higher cane and sugar yield over the standard CoJ 64, respectively. Because of being superior in yield and quality, CoSe 03234 has been released by the State Varietal Committee for general cultivation in Uttar Pradesh.
