Rio Tinto cuts TiO_2 output by 17% in weak market, continues lithium investment

Anglo-Australian miner Rio Tinto Group said in April that its titanium dioxide (TiO_2) outputwas 17% lower in the first quarter of 2015 than it was for the same three months last year and that it plans to shut down another fur nace at its Canadian mineral sands op eration.
