ASH MEADOWS,NEVADA,USA,is located 144km north-west of Las Vegas and is approximately 150km2.Although it has been home to mineral development in the past,areas have been restricted.The Clark County Conservation of Public Land and Natural Resource Act of 2002 temporarily withdraws areas of land from mineral development,theses areas are designated as Areas of Critical Environmental Concern(ACEC).
