K+S fits Imhoflot plant

Maelgwyn Mineral Services Ltd (MMS) is to install a complete pneumatic flotation plant at Kali & Salz GmbH's Sigmundshall works. The flotation plant, which uses MMS Imhoflot~(TM) technology (two IMH 30 cells), will treat 40 tph of Hartsalz ore - containing sylvite, halite, anhydrite and kieserite - to yield potash. Testing performed with IMH 14 cells, operating at 5 tph, gave grades in excess of 60 percent K_2O. The technology can also be used on other industrial minerals, metals and oil-water mixes.
