THE MAGNESIA market has been rather lively of late, not least owing to the recovery in steel production in Europe and North America, and the rise in domestic consumption of magnesia in China, thus influencing volumes and qualities available for export markets. Outside China, magnesia producers have been enjoying brisk business while consumers are simply keen to secure sources of supply from almost anywhere.
