Fuel cell niche for minerals

THE FUEL CELL has been with us for a long time as a concept; a hundred years or more. However, the commercial reality is much more recent and it is only now that we are seeing the industry begin to manufacture and sell products in any significant numbers. To put this in perspective, 2005 saw a 30+percent growth in the number of fuel cell systems sold, but this still amounted to an annual total of only 3,500. However, all the signs are that this market will expand in the number of products available, the number of serious manufacturers, and the volume of sales. This provides an interesting business development opportunity. What though, does this mean for the minerals community?
