THE UK'S MORGAN Crucible Co. Plc. has acquired two advanced ceramics units from USA based specialist alloys company, Carpenter Technology Corp., in a bid to increase its presence in the growing aerospace sector. Morgans's chief executive officer of the Technical Ceramics Division, Andrew Hosty, described the acquisitions of Certech and Carpenter Advanced Ceramics (CAC) as "an exciting addition... [which] supports our goal of delivering mid-teen margins" and highlighted the aerospace industry as the sector for company growth.
