SINCE THE 1930s India based Golcha Group has been mining and processing talc from its land in Rajasthan state. Presently the group owns two deposits -one in Dausa and a second in Bhilwara -which combined represent high quality talc reserves of 25m. tonnes. Golcha claims that its newest talc mineral grades, Besta and Finex, offer an "extremely high degree of whiteness" and thus can ideally be used in the production of white goods. Besta and Finex have a low yellow index, making them a neutral component in colour mixtures, and their processing method (by avoiding particle attrition) does not produce black dots in bright mouldings.
