Disaster at TRG rutile

THE FALL OUT FROM the disaster that .occurred at Titanium Resources Group's (TRG) Sierra Rutile operation has been mixed following the capsizing of its 40,000 tpa rutile dredger, D2, which was only commissioned back in November 2007. Sierra Leone has reacted with a combination of sadness, after two employees were killed in the incident, and concern, over job security for the remaining workforce. TRG has been understandably tight-lipped as it tries to ascertain the cause of Sierra Rutile's worst mining disaster since the civil war, with the company's chief executive, Len Comerford, stating shares trading on the London Stock Exchange was immediately suspended.
