Current Problems and Probable Solutions of Tea Plantations of Northeast India

摘要

Radical changes in soil, climate, shade stand and bush population, consequent emergence of virulent pests and diseases warranting the usage of plant protection measures, eroded the value realization making the plantation operations unviable. The constraints have to be corrected and rectified on project mode involving all the stake holders to bring back the glory of Indian plantations. The problems, prospects and steps required are narrated.
