The global leather chemicals market, including colourants and chemicals that are used for tanning, dyeing, re-tanning, and finishing, will be worth an estimated $4.5 billion by 2015, according to a new report from California-based research company Global Industry Analysis. Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America account for over 90% of the share of the global leather chemicals market the report stated. It expects growth to come from expanding leathergoods and leather production markets and talks of "resurgent demand" for leather from the footwear and automatic industries.
