SYSTEM FOR INSPECTION OF EXPORT CONSIGNMENTS OF FINISHED LEATHER

Shri Rajendra K Jalan, Chairman, CLE in a statement lias appealed to the members of the Council for Leather Exports to extend their full co-operation for successful implementation of the system for inspection of export consignments of finished leather. You are aware that finished leathers which adhere to the norms notified by Director General of Foreign Trade (DTFT) vide Public Notice No. 21/2009-14 dated 2~(nd) December 2009 are allowed for export without any export duty, whereas 60% export duty is levied on export of raw hides and skins and also semi-processed leathers like wet blue, crust leather etc.
